TrendChip Technologies Corp., a leading xDSL IC developer and provider, today announced that it has successfully demonstrated the interoperability of its ADSL2+ Gateway platform with Works Systems OneNetwork Management System (OneMS). The interoperability tests were conducted as part of the Works Systems Verification Program, which evaluates customer premises equipment (CPE) for compliance with the DSL Forums WAN Management protocol, known as TR-069.
Demonstrating TrendChips interoperability with Works Systems OneMS ensures TrendChips continuous commitment to service providers to provide state-of-the-art DSL chipsets and software with worldwide leading interoperability capability using the smallest memory footprint to meet their needs in both revenue growth and cost control from installation and operation cost savings, stated Shinjou Fang, CEO of TrendChip Technologies Corp. TrendChips solution with TR-069 software has been certified by worldwide leading ACS (Auto Configuration Server) equipment vendors and has been adopted for service providers’ latest ADSL2+ deployment including Europe, South East Asia, India, China, and Latin America. Furthermore, for those service providers who have deployed large-scale ADSL2+ modems, TrendChip also provides them a creative solution for supporting TR-069 on a bridge modem to unify the diverse remote management systems.
The Works Systems OneMS Verification Program is an initiative to ensure that Works Systems and its partners adhere to the expanding interoperability requirements of service providers seeking to reduce the time to market for next-generation services without increasing the costs to support and upgrade them. This interoperability allows service providers using Works Systems OneMS to remotely activate, configure and maintain service providers deployed CPEs, greatly simplifying the delivery of triple play - voice, video, and data - services. TrendChip´s adherence to these protocols will allow service provider to quickly respond to their customers´ needs and reduce or eliminate the need for expensive ´truck rolls´, helping to minimize the service providers´ operating expenses.
TrendChips solid implementation of the DSL Forum standard includes TR-069 protocol extensions such as TR-098 and LAN-side CPE management protocols such as TR-064. TR-069, TR-098 and TR-064 are the building blocks for service providers to implement true zero-touch activation, configuration and provisioning solutions for Internet gateway devices(IGD) on both WAN and LAN side.
